Some things take time to make properly, and lemon curd is one of those.  While many have chosen to offer lemon curd made quickly with cornstarch and gelatins, we believe that the only way to enjoy this treat is the traditional way.  Five generations of our family have used this simple recipe to make the best all-natural lemon curd available anywhere.  We blend Indian River lemon juice, pure cane sugar, eggs, and sweet cream butter and cook it slowly in an open pot to make this traditional lemon curd.  No shortcuts, no unnecessary additives or ingredients.  We use only the finest all-natural ingredients so that you may enjoy Lemon Curd as it was meant to be. 

Serve this “lemon pie in a jar” over teacakes, scones, ginger snaps and pound cake, or spread it between the layers of a coconut cake. Our traditional Lemon Curd is perhaps best on a spoon straight out of the jar.
