Our story...
Family owned and operated for nearly 30 years, Bell Buckle Country Store, Inc. had a very simple and humble beginning. After a lifetime of culinary travels and experiences all over the Americas, Europe and the Caribbean as a pilot, Captain Rodney began sharing recipes with friends and family as he entertained. One of his signature items was the Captain's Scotch Bonnet Pepper Jelly, based on an old family recipe, but incorporating ingredients from the Caribbean. The Captain's Pepper Jelly was his calling card, always welcome at picnics, tailgating and garden parties.

The Captain's Pirate's Gold was always in demand with friends asking if they could buy an extra jar the next time the Captain fired up the jelly pot. From this groundswell of interest, the rest of the family looked into what it would take to be able to offer the Captain's signature jelly beyond the home. After much education and experimentation, we began selling our products to the public in 1995, when we took it to the Atlanta Gift Market and set up on a card table in the corner of a gourmet showroom.

The response was overwhelming, with our first product going on to win multiple national awards, including the prestigious Best of Atlanta and Best of Los Angeles Awards in its first season. With this success under our belts, we continued to expand our offerings, drawing on our tried and true family recipes and time-honored cooking methods. We knew that we could not compete with the big corporations on quantity or price, but we could excel when it came to quality. So, that has always been our focus, to use the very best all-natural ingredients cooked the old-fashioned way, in small open pot batches, to create the very finest products available on the market today.

Over the years, we have expanded to include eight distinct brands, each with their own flavor, and a consistent vision, to make the very best products possible. When you look at our all-natural offerings, you see "clean" labels with ingredient lists where you can not only pronounce, but identify every single ingredient. Simple foods for sophisticated palates. We hope you will join us on our continuing culinary journey.

Four generations of our family are proud to offer our homemade brands:

As a family-owned and operated business that began on our farm, we are strongly committed to the environment, our local economy and most of all to being a good neighbor.
